IN+VISIBILIS
“The seen is transitory and ephemeral,
the unseen is eternal and lasts forever.”
-Saint Paul
Places cannot be reduced to their physical dimension (topos) but must also and above all be considered from the angle of their sensitive and existential dimension (chôra): imagination is the key to arriving at the idea of reality. IN+VISIBILIS explores how imaginary is at the heart of geographic realities, by looking at the ontological status of the space, the territory and the landscape. Relationships existing between the visible and the invisible, the idea and the material, the full and the emptiness or the functional and the symbolic are investigated. A journey of exploration into the landscape and its complexity is carried out, examining the question of how the landscape can be perceived as a resonance hub between man and cosmos.
