THE IMAGINARY EXPEDITIONS
“The only real voyage of discovery
consists not in seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes.”
THE IMAGINARY EXPEDITIONS is a unique experiment at the crossroad of art, social sciences and geography. It illustrates the main topics of reflection that have continuously crossed the history of human quest for new discoveries, such as in-situ exploration, interdisciplinary research, displacement, and post-expedition knowledge production. This project is a subjective experience re-creating semi-fictional expedition trips, inspired by the tradition of geographical, scientific and anthropological discoveries of great explorers, and based on the own author’s explorations and artifacts.
