Of other space is a reference to the concept of “heterotopic spaces” (Michel Foucault, philosopher), which can be defined as worlds within worlds or placeless places. They are at the same time absolutely real, relating with the real space surrounding it, and absolutely unreal, creating a virtual image. This study invites the viewer to make the experience of the landscape through some of these disturbing, intense, incompatible, contradictory or transforming spaces. These intermediate spaces can be perceived as the passage between the spheres of the intimate, the domestic and the political. In these spaces, the notion of silence holds a central role. However, silence here appears as a presence, participating to the representations of emptiness in the landscape. As such, this study is not a search for emptiness, but a way to overcome the duality of emptiness and fullness, and to depict a meaningful void.
